Lili I live in Australia and am interested in working with castles when travelling overseas. I am researching seasonal jobs but haven't had much luck on the internet. I recently posted a query about castle conservation projects and received helpful feedback - thank you. Has anyone any other suggestions or experiences? For example tour guiding through castles? I'm interested in anything even if it means dusting the tapestries, just for the experience of helping out with these wonderful monuments. Thanks : )

One thing I considered was to participate in an archeological dig, but that may not be enough "castle" for you. Also, they don't pay and usually actually want money from you.
I really don't know of any jobs going. About the only thing you could do is to write lots of letters to various castles that you like, to job agencies and to heritage councils asking for work.
I think the sort of job you are after is eagerly snapped up by locals.
